xiv + 536pp + 12pp index. Full leather, binding secure but some wear to boards, some cracking to hinges, loss to lower front corner. Blind-stamped decoration to boards, no title label, but indented lettering in one compartment. Bookplate to front pastedown has the motto 'Clariores E Teneris', possible from the Puleston family. Title page in red/black, general text in black and in Latin and Greek. Marks and ageing commensurate with age, overall a Good tight copy. The first major work by Fleetwood, discussing Christian and Pagan inscriptions (COPAC). Scarce. View more info
